| Little Mary's musical history begins
in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky and continues through each new adventure in the
Colorado blues scene. At an early age, her mother's love for bluegrass and gospel and her father's love for "entertaining" encouraged Mary to step out and begin performing. In high-school she followed the rock-n-roll scene, and found that it just wasn't for her. Then she was introduced to the blues. Little Mary followed the seasoned blues musicians in Colorado to each jam session, stepping onto every open stage she could. In 1986 she put her first blues band together. From then on, she was hooked. |

Little Mary
took a a more aggressive role in managing and promoting herself. This included
booking her blues act into the various live venues in Colorado. One of these was
Ziggies Saloon located in Denver, Colorado. Little Mary has often said that this is
the room she "grew-up" in (musically speaking). Learning to "work a
room" and "energize a crowd" with her playful sexuality and candid humor is what has made her fans continue to follow her, year after year.
