ANOTHER successful Summer Tour- 2004!  Little Mary and her Hometown Boogie Kings hit the road for dates in Empire and Grand Junction.    These first time performances at Boomers of Grand Junction and at the ‘Original Hard Rock Café’ of Empire Colorado introduced Little Mary and her Hometown Boogie Kings to lots of new Blues fans over the Memorial Day weekend.  Special thanks to KQMT-The Mountain 99.5 (Denver) and to KAFM 88.1 (Grand Junction) for all of that great press J Look for new dates at both Boomers and the ‘Original Hard Rock Café of Empire’ later this year.

Then in June . . . “One girl, one guitar, will travel”  . . . Little Mary hit the road, solo-acoustic, for performances at Cox Brothers BBQ (Manhattan, Kansas with Dave Elmo Bailey and “Unfinished Business”), at Sweet Justice Blues (Topeka, Kansas), Jazz Louisiana Kitchen (Lees Summit, Missouri), Bayou Bill’s (Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri), Stu’s Midtown Tavern (Lawrence, Kansas), Winslow’s BBQ (Kansas City, Missouri) and at the Music Exchange (Kansas City, Missouri).  Special thanks to The Little Red Rooster’s Blues Show Salina, Kansas (98.5), to KRMS (93.5) in Osage Beach, MO, to KCUR-UMKC (89.3)  Kansas City, MO and as always, to KKFI (90.1) in Kansas City, MO for helping to promote these shows!

The highlight of this tour?  Friday night, June 25th, Little Mary opened for the Mezcal Brothers at Stu’s Midtown Tavern in Lawrence, Kansas.  These handsome and talented gentlemen have their own flavor of Rock-a-Billy.  Catch their high-energy show in Colorado at the end of July! (visit www.mezcalbrothers.com for more information).  As always, Stu and his thriving music room made Little Mary feel right at home!  Little Mary would like to thank all of her long-time Lawrence-area fans for filling the house and sharing their good energy that night!  (“we’ll see YOU year!”)

ALSO, due to the air play provided by KKFI, Winslow’s BBQ on June 26th was a full house (we mean, a full patio!) making Little Mary’s first time at Winslow’s in Kansas City, MO, a great success!

Then, Little Mary returned to Colorado just in time for the July 4th, Central City Freedom Festival.  A receptive crowd and a great party !  Special thanks to entertainer-promoter, Jimmy Lewis and to the City of Central for another great event J.  Visit www.centralcityco.org for information regarding next year’s event.

Little Mary and Tim Mahoney hit the road for a short tour of Southern Colorado, on July 30th and 31st.    If you missed Little Mary’s debu at Wildwood Sounds in Del Norte this past March, then DON’T miss this !  Little Mary and Tim Mahoney perform Friday evening, July 30th at Wildwood Sounds in Del Norte AND Saturday evening, July 31st at Bongo Billy’s. See the Little Mary schedule for more information . . .
