Missing Colorado . . .!
It has been many months since my temporary move to Ohio, and I miss Colorado SOOOOOOOOO much! Thank you for all of your emails, messages and cards over the Summer. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated and cherished! As some of you know, my days here in Ohio have been spent assisting my elderly father (and he is my BIGGEST fan!) who loves listening to my humorous Blues songs and amateur guitar playing. I've also had an occasion to frequent some of the music venues in Dayton and Yellow Springs, and have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of talent and fans who are keeping the Blues alive here.

The last three shows that I performed with my Hometown Boogie Kings had AMAZING turnouts: Standing-room only, packed-houses, high energy events! Various photos and reviews continue to find their way into my email and post office box. A big "THANK YOU" to everyone who attended and supported us at Dazzle Jazz on April 30th (for TWO sold out shows!) at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen on May 8th and MOST especially at the LITTLE BEAR on May 21st for the final bash! Record numbers packed the house to say good-bye and share the music!

So, let's get up close and personal for a minute; the big news is finally out . . . family obligations have required that I relocate to Ohio. This decision has not been an easy one, and I am leaving behind a life and friends that I love very much. Although, I am enjoying rebuilding and renewing relationships with family and friends here . . . spending a lot of time with an 85 year-old has created new priorities in my life . . . material for a future gospel album continues to grow . . . daily viewing of news reports and weather patterns/headlines have further opened my eyes to what is important . . . I question where our planet is headed, both spiritually and physically . . . I pray that we 'get it together' and start spending more time helping each other and less time fighting each other (planetarially and community speaking). . . but I won't turn this letter into a call for world peace . . . at least not today. . .

There are so many wonderful people who have helped to inspire my music path. I could never thank everyone, but the following must be acknowledged; Thank you to the many radio personalities at the following stations who have continued to help in promoting my shows: The Mountain-KQMT-Denver, KHEN-Salida, KGOAT-Idaho Springs, KRFC- Ft. Collins, The Wave-Denver, and especially KUVO- Denver. KUVO's radio family and community has done more for me than I can ever thank them for! Also, I'd like to thank, outside of Colorado, KKFI and KCMC in the Kansas City area for their continued support of my Summer tours and new music releases. I couldn't have done any of it without them!

I already miss working with my all-star musician line-up, Tim Mahoney-guitar and vocals, Rev. Ron Wright- piano and organ, Dan Hollowell-drums, and Bob Tiger- bass and vocals. After a combined length of four plus years together, it is hard to say good-bye to such a great group of guys. I know that we will work together again in the future! (after all, they are each from the Mid-West also!)

As for my Blues friends in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and surrounding, I cannot thank you enough for all of your support these past (how many?) years. This includes the hard-working volunteers of the Kansas City Blues Society and the Colorado Blues Society. You have helped me to successfully complete two studio projects, two live CD's, five Summer tours and create many, many, many wonderful memories . . . ('music has been very, very good to me'). Summer 2005 did not include any road gigs and I hope that my friends outside of Colorado will not forget about me!

Until we meet again, may each of you be happy and healthy and be ALWAYS listening to good music! Keep keepin' the Blues alive!

Sincerely,
Little Mary,
