9NEWS sponsors the 2nd annual 9Cares Colorado Shares Music Drive!

On SATURDAY morning, SEPTEMBER 8th in the 9NEWS parking lot located

at 500 Speer Blvd, Downtown-Denver, Co. Musical instrument donations will be collected throughout the day for students, grades K-12 who cannot otherwise afford them.  LIVE music will be provided, beginning at 7:00am and continuing until 1:00pm.  Little Mary and the Tom Cats’ perform bright and early, from 8:00am until 9:00am!  Numerous local organizations have partnered to add to the day’s success, including Volunteers of America, Colorado Blues Society, Aurora-Denver and Arapahoe County Schools, Colorado Youth Symphony Orchestra, Deep Rock Water, Papa Johns Pizza and many more!   For more info please visit www.littlemary.com  or www.9News.com.

 

Little Mary and the Tom Cats  perform at the Taste of the Nation!  Sunday, August 12th.  This special event at Coors Field was sponsored by ‘Share Our Strength’ and ‘Volunteers of America’.  ‘Taste of the Nation’ is the largest nationwide culinary benefit to fight hunger.  If you missed this year’s event, be sure to visit www.sosdenver.com for information regarding next year’s.  Thank you to Craig Cutcliff (professional sound-person) who volunteered his time and equipment for the day, and who helped all of the musical talent sound their very best!  Talent for the day included AJ Salas and Savile row.  Very special thanks to our long-time friend, Tommy Thomas J (The Working Man) for introducing us to Jim White, at Volunteers of America.  Jim’s genuine compassion and concern for the community fuels his daily commitment to the VOA organization. 

 

Little Mary’s annual Kansas City tour was a blast! (July 2001)

July 16th through July 23rd.    This Summer’s tour featured performances at Blayney’s in Kansas City, Missouri,  Stu’s Midtown Tavern in Lawrence, Kansas and the Matinee Club in Topeka, Kansas.  Musicians, Bill Dye and Big John (and his 39th Street Blues Band) helped to make this trip successful.  Please visit RoadNotes on the website for a daily journal of this exciting tour! 

 

Little Mary and the Tom Cats perform at the First Annual Pikes Peak BluesFest at the

Airforce Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. Saturday afternoon, July 14th, sharing  the limelight with Kim Simmonds (of Savoy Brown fame) and David Malachowski, Rikki Dee Hall and the VooDoo Hawks, Stanley Milton’s MeanStreak,  Erica Brown Blues Band, Randall Dubis Band

 and the Trainwreckers. 

Very special thanks to Doug Randall;

 a long-time, live music supporter who’s vision created this year’s

 event, along with the combined efforts of his company, Ideas and

Effects Communications ,  www.DrTix.net, and  many Colorado

Springs-based beverage and food  vendors.  Additional thanks to

Colorado Springs radio station The Eagle- 103.9 for their

promotion of this weekend festival, and Rice Music for providing

excellent sound to the musicians and the audience.  And last, but
